To fix my problem above, I'm disabling HPET in the BIOS (the default anyway). I probably never should have enabled HPET in BIOS. Now running 5.15.34, and I'll see how it goes.

Since this started I've sent three e-mails. One was never answered and two basically replied with, "not my problem." If anyone knows the system admin. at Indiana University, would you be kind enough to let them know their message board is in need of some serious maintenance.

Year 2022, Round 24.
Another batch of updates has been scheduled for release on Wednesday, 20 April 2022, at approximately 12:00, GMT. If no problems are found while testing the release candidates, they might be available sometime on Tuesday (depending on your time zone).
