Slackware problem

Here what I do with the install:

Downloaded bare.i and boot from that on a floppy.
The put in and load install.1 and then install.2 from floppies.
Everything is fine, then I login as root and type setup.
I make my partition and format them one for /, home, and usr as ext3.
Then I select the root drive.
Load my cd with no folders and all the packages and these files install-packages, install.end, tagfile, maketag, and maketag.ez.
If find it and loads them.
Now when I try to select the folders the screen just flashes and I don't get anything.

Any help please?

If you can't do it in Slackware, it doesn't need to be done.
