Bah, Who's interested in the 55378008 when you can have 5318008!!

For some reason 71077345 was also a very popular one back when I was at school. Infact its so ingrained in my memory I can actually remember the number and don't have to work it out. It's sitting there in my grey matter right besides 'poke 36879'.

You can do better Patrick!
I agree, it's a disgrace to the best distro ever. Slackware is not about gimmicks. Give us a solid, workman-like logo, not some new-age, wierded-out, distortion that looks like an acid flashback

Gimme Slackware Classic!

Yeah I agree with the guys who thought the site was hacked. That was actually my first reaction as well.

You see, kids these days with their fancy spreadsheets don't get the unlimited fun you could have with a calculator and a dirty mind!

Probably because the number of "words" you can write on a calculator is limited.

Just added it up there are 143 replies: 96 don't like the logo... 27 do like it or will live with it... 20 were off topic or no opinion... Just a little poll of my own to update things Although, with over 4500 views now these numbers will obviously not be as accurate as they could have

You should just give it up!

The views or points within the thread are useful to the public but the distribution rights & control are 'PV's. Not yours nor mine or anyone else for that matter will sway the final approval for anything within Slackware.

The views or points should be useful to Patrick too.

IMHO, the new logo has nothing to do with Slackware. It's an interesting logo, but not for Slackware. When I look at it, it seems a little bit complicated. I don't want to compare with the old logo, but the new one don't say nothing.

I'm sure Pat V does care about his users, if most people don't like the new logo, he might change it back. Also, was there some contest for logos that I missed out on ? Was this the one that won ?

Well, if he doesn't, he should.

No. And a poll was closed on this forum because, in the opinion of the moderators, expressing an opinion is the same as casting a vote.
