There is the original kernel-4.4.14 still on the DVD or CDROM or even in https://mirrors.slackware.com/slackware/.

I still have the modules for the 64bit version of 4.4.153. Uploading them now.

EDIT: here we go, that was a fast upload:

Thank you "garpu" the 418.30 beta works fine and has 32bit compatibility. I know Pat has the security issue priority but. heads up in the change log would be nice.
I expect breakage in current that was a game stopper literally. works fine with the latest steam client. Sure Eric will update his steam client build script
down the road. they changed some things.
I see Eric aka Alien bob got the new glibc to build. correct call for the x86_64 . back to slack-15.

But he already said he doesn't use (or support) proprietary drivers, so how would he know that the newer kernels broke support... unless you expect him to check his updates with any number of proprietary software that may or may not break with updates to the OS.

I don't understand why you think this is a Slackware problem when the kernel developers are the ones who changed the API on a stable kernel release. And that Nvidia has had since Dec 17th to pump out a new stable version with support for this new API, yet you don't seem to blame them for being slow to update their drivers...

Maybe it is time for *you* to start researching kernel updates before blindly updating them to see if it's going to break software/drivers that *you* rely on. Pat is securing the OS, Nvidia is forcing you to remain unsecured unless you use a beta driver. Tell me how this is Slackware's fault and not the kernels (for changing an API on an LTS kernel) or Nvidia's (for not providing timely updates to their drivers to correlate with an almost 2 month old update to the kernel)?

Cmon can we please close this obvious troll thread. The only good thing to come of this is the blob meme.

I disagree with it. unsecured kernel in extra would be an option.
OMG how many people like me built the system around 14.2 to find it obsolete by update-all. try the beta and use multi kernels for different stuff.
I use Steam, and I haven't had an issue. I'm doing multilib, though. The Nvidia drivers stopped 32-bit only support, but they still ship with 32-bit compatibility libraries. Sorry for the confusion!

Why did you leave IBM. They really did bad things to my friends in Fishkill NY USA. Sorry I did not mean to take it out on you.
I hope your happy with what your doing. Your attention to detail has put Slackware above the best.

What IBM did here at the University of Illinois was crazy. Unable to build a controller for Big Blue.
My friend was head of Hardware and another friend ahead of writing the Daemon.
Both were kept when Cray took over and built the chip to handle it.

I am an Old truck driver "furniture mover"flunked out of Computer science went in to the Marines.
I was the first to refuse to haul IBM because the demanded a 65 percent discount.

OMG FORTRAN and cobalt was so boring. And I am unable to output correct. Dyslexic works weird I intake good.
Output looks good to me but real bad to others.
This has caused serious problems in life. "No Excuse"

Life has been good to me. I will spend most of my time retired on a golf course soon.
Or riding my bicycles all over the USA.

I am on 3 opensource teams now because I see things different when looking at code.
some of it usable some of it just broken.
# Trump
I have marched locally against Trump here in Urbana and Chicago.
I am sorry if I hurt you in anyway.
