As Samac posted on this first, I have moved your posts over to that thread to avoid duplication.

Not quite. Most of the patches arent needed.
If you bump all package versions you only need the xfce-utils consolekit and the thunar docdir patch.
The later unfortunately doesnt work with Thunar-1.0.2.
Personally i didnt bother to make it work cause its quite extensive.
Other than that it should work.

edit: You also need the xfcalendar and xfdesktop-fix-education patches.
I dont use those so i left em out.
BTW rworkman said he's gonna provide packages soonish.
Also if you dont need the translations, the changes in 4.6.2 for Slackware users are trivial.

Oh, almost forgot. Congrats to everyone and many thanks to Pat and the rest of the Slackware team for the new release!

Robby said another one of my posts that he'll work on getting 4.6.2 packages up on his site.

Thanks Pat.
I knew it's going to be someone's birthday. 13.0 was on my birthday. 13.1 is on Xavier's. Happy b-day Xavier.

Well this was a pleasant surprise when I got home from work! It's my first Slackware release. I'd have showered before logging on if I'd known it was going to be a party!
:stinks:

Thanks to all involved!

I love the fact that Slackware is released when ready. Days like today kind of remind of Christmas morning as a kid.

Looking forward to getting my DVD in the mail!! If you haven't done so already, the subscription service is a great way to support Slackware. Plus it's less than $100 a year, or about a quarter a day. I love my black Slackware T-Shirt. Too bad it's getting hot and humid here. Would love the exact same shirt in white with a black logo (hint hint )

You could also get the Slackware Bottle Opener
to help you with that

+1 on the white shirt. I was just thinking the same thing looking at the store.

Quick question though, I'm downloading the torrent just to seed, but if I was running current as of last night is that the same set of packages as 13.1? This appears to be the case looking at the changelogs.
