They need to do a better job of capturing the Windows 3 Hot Dog Stand theme.

Cool. Another Slackware derivative. Thanks. Didn't know about it.

Finally, a new Linux distro worth trying.

Not tried it, yet. Will ketchup with it later. See if it cuts the mustard.

Where is the Windows 9x (98 preferred), or better yet a Windows2000 style visual?

Virtualbox does not like the iso, but file command shows that it is indeed an iso and I can mount it via loopback.

Code:
slackuser@slackmachine:~/iso$ file slackware64-live-HOTDOG-20220227.iso
slackware64-live-HOTDOG-20220227.iso: ISO 9660 CD-ROM filesystem data (DOS/MBR boot sector) 'LIVESLAK' (bootable)
root@slackmachine:/home/slackuser/iso# mount -ro loop slackware64-live-HOTDOG-20220227.iso /home/slackuser/loop/
root@slackmachine:/home/slackuser/iso# ls /home/slackuser/loop/
EFI boot liveslak
root@slackmachine:/home/slackuser/iso#
I thought maybe download is corrupted, so I re-downloaded and ran an md5sum , and it does not add up, tried brave and firefox, but it does not match the md5sum listed on the site either https://hotdoglinux.com/download/sla...220227.iso.md5 hrmmmmm.... sus.

Code:
slackuser@slackmachine:~/iso$ md5sum slackware64-live-HOTDOG-20220227.iso
658a4f2386417ee6a0269ac6fdd8c373 slackware64-live-HOTDOG-20220227.iso
However from the site, the md5sum should be:
Quote:
bfe352c0fd46c96e775f01c41917031f slackware64-live-HOTDOG-20220227.iso

Hrmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

Just tried this here, and found no discrepancy:
Code:
md5sum slackware64-live-HOTDOG-20220227.iso
bfe352c0fd46c96e775f01c41917031f slackware64-live-HOTDOG-20220227.iso
This matches the md5sum provided at the Hotdog site...

I get yet another md5sum:
Code:
brian@slackdesk:~/Downloads$ md5sum slackware64-live-HOTDOG-20220227.iso
f072a191cd6ab47a5333e068dc0656a8 slackware64-live-HOTDOG-20220227.iso
Betwiener you & me, to be frank, further investigation may be needed.

Re-downloaded it again, and this time yes I am getting the correct hash , dunno why prior I wasn't:
Code:
slackuser@slackmachine:~/iso$ cat slackware64-live-HOTDOG-20220227.iso.md5 && md5sum slackware64-live-HOTDOG-20220227.iso

slackuser@slackmachine:~/iso$

Why is that? Now I got the correct hash as JayByrd...The hell is going on here? And this time Virtualbox doesn't complain about the iso....
