I have another weird one on Mandrake 10 amd64.

On clicking on a link on any email using kontact/kmail I get taken to kwrite with the webites script. I have looked everywhere to find an option for this that I must have changed, but cannot find the option.

Anyone, come across this and know how to fix it.

i'm not at home on the Mandy box right now, but going from memory, 2 things to check........

in Kmail, look in tools->configure kmail->security. one of the tabs has html options. check those out.

if that don't pan out.......

go to Kontrol Center (IE: configure your desktop)->components->file associations. type htm in the search box. check which application is associated to open with that file type. there's a list of apps in that module in the lower right panel. if KWrite is at the top of the list, select a browser from that list & move it to the top. if you're favourite browser isn't listed, use the "add" button to add it, then move it to the top. click "apply" when done, then try opening a link in Kmail.
