Extreme Mouse lag
I just installed Mandrake 9.2. All went well with the mouse until the first boot and the "First Time Wizard" came up. At that point the mouse stopped working. Well, the mouse works sort of. There is about a 10-15 second lag between the time I move the mouse and the cursor moves. Which, of course makes it nearly impossible to get the mouse where I want it. But then even with much patience the mouse click does nothing. The frustrating part is that to finish the wizard requires a mouse click. The finish button has no keyboard equivalent I can find.
I have a Microsoft serial mouse. I did a couple of fresh installs using different mouse types but none worked. Can someone help? TIA.
