GNOME/X Keyboard & Mouse freezes

Hi All,

I've been having this reoccuring issue with my fresh installed linux box. I'm running Debian GNU/Linux on kernel 2.4.14 with Gnome 1.4 installed.

I think this problem is caused by some library/component rather then by misconfiguration. I mean, i had this problem removed X/Gnome completely and reinstalled but now much more cautious.

I did install some bonobo related stuff since then and now it's back. I DO have to add that because of the frequent lock-ups i had quite a lot of filesystem damage but i'm not sure this would cause further lock-ups.

What do you suggest ? (reply by email is fine)

Regards,

J.
