Am I in big trouble?

I just hit 5000 posts and got labelled as a "guru". Given some of my recent mistakes, this is a truly scary picture...
How much will this cost me?
Does it matter that there are huge segments of the Linux world about which I am clueless?
Is it curable?
Will newbie posters now respond when I help them or ask for more info?
Is there a dress code?

Large, very large, brown envelope left in a locker in Grand Central station. Filled with money is nice but optional....

With your guru hat on and a roll of +6 persuasion, they will believe anything you tell them.

No. The last guy that tried was called Bruce Banner......

Nope, but they will camp outside your house with kazoos.

Silly hats only.

If being a guru is scary, you can change the title in your User CP.

Congrats.

Believe me, I have had no goal of a specific post count. In fact, I have noted that many of the REAL gurus are far less verbose.

I now know that I have a choice between "guru" and "LQ addict". I'm going to have to think really hard about this...

My biggest worry when I hit your age...ehm, post count, is that when I ask stupid questions, I'll be ignored. :-D

I don't think I will ever hit "guru" status. I don't have enough time in to type that many posts and responses.

I mean... think about it... I have been here over three and a half years and have been fairly consistent with the amount of time I spend here... and look at how far away I am from being a guru!

I am 28.5% of the way there!!! At this rate, I will hit guru sometime in March of 2016.

Well as they say, it's quality not quantity that counts.

I thought "senior member" was a euphemism for "old dick."
