ok so i would like to extract rar files and i have no clue how to do it on fedora i appreciate any help as long as it is valid if i ask question after question it is cause i do not what i am doing thanx

first you will need to install the rpmfusion repo
http://rpmfusion.org/
copy/paste ( or type) one line at a time into the terminal and hit enter

su -
( type in your root password when asked )
rpm -ivh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm
rpm -ivh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-stable.noarch.rpm
rpm --import /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-rpmfusion-*

then run yum update

su -
yum update

then you need to install unrar

Code:

su -
yum install unrar

then form the gui just double click on it and it will open in "file roller"

Doesn't fedora distinguish between plain unrar and unrar-nonfree?

unrar is in the rpmfusion non-free

for rar to make illegal rar files without purchasing a license to use it
