I'm a newb for Fedora Linux. I have got to the point to install fedora on E:.

I'm in a bind. I have two partitions right now.
Windows XP/Fedora Linux (2.6.25-14.fc9.i686)

C: XP (81.5 GB)
E: Linux
D: DVD-RAM
AMD Turion 64 Mobile
1.79 GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM

I have got to the point to install fedora on E:, but a error OR my ignorance.

Decompressing Linux...done
Booting the kernel
Red Hat nash ver. 6.0.52 starting
Read all physical volumes
Found volume group "VolGroup00"
2 logical volume(s) in volume group "VolGroup00" now active
mount: could not find filesystem '/dev/root'
setuproot: No file or directory
"
"
mount failed for selinuxfs on /selinux: No such file or directory
switchroot: mount failed

I appreciate your help. Thanks.

Have you actually installed Fedora or are you getting the error while trying to install?

Linux doesn't use a drive lettering scheme like Windows, so E:\ means nothing to Linux.

Unhappy I'm afraid that now I'm running fedora linux, but no excess.

My problem is Windows XP is fine, but Fedora Linux it's new. That means, no music, no videos, no internet. How to move the files/folders out of windows only. My partitions are windows xp and fedora linux. Maybe a third partition will be files? Help me on this. Thanks.

You would be better served starting a new thread for this new question.

What do you mean no videos or music? You can't get them to play? Did you install the proper codecs?

You have no internet? Is your connection wireless, ethernet, or dial up?

You should be able to access your windows partition from Fedora to copy your files over.
