intel 3945 won't connect (solved)

I installed my wireless card according to this guide http://fedoramobile.org/fc-wireless/...rom-freshrpms/

I get the card added and can see my network in kwifimanager, it says connected but I can not obtain an IP. In network device manager it shows my wireless card as inactive, when I try to activate it it trys to obtain an IP and gives me an error to check the cable. I have tried a bunch of things and just can't seem to get it.

I have tried everything to get this working, I am getting ready to give it up. I think I will try reinstalling the drivers but I am not sure on the correct procedure to remove them, anyone wanna hold my hand through it?

You might try using these instructions from the ipw3945 project page. Just be aware that you should NOTmess with your ieee80211 subsystem as they suggest. The page is a bit out of date and the subsystem on new kernels is just fine. Try installing the driver first and if that doesn't work, then we can consider the subsystem.
