Question sound redhat9


i m new for linux.
i have installed winxp sp2 & redhat9 on my pc,but i cann`t hear sound in linux
how can i get sound card driver,

my pc configuration:
P4 & mother board intel original- 915GVWB

I had a problem similar to this one, a little while ago.

I would suggest you look at alsamixer. Look to see if everything is "unmuted".

some time linux want to intialize sound module so this you just put cmd these command sndconfig and test that
