I think the time to create a boot disk comes even before installing all the packages, the best thing to do is just start over the installation.

No it doesn't come before the installation it comes at the end right before you reboot. i think this is because i am not installing it on its own linux partition.

I'm not certain, so don't quote me n this one, but I've heard you can't load Linux on a Win-2K or NT machine with a dual boot. Something to do with the MBR boot sector not liking it. If you have currupted your boot sector, good luck fixing that one. I had to redo the whole Win-Crap setp again to fix mine.

I've just had the same problem.
I have w2k in one partition, and tried to install RH 7.0 in the logical partition of DOS (fat) and all went right until I got an error leading to a message that asked me to save the dump in order to send it to red hat.
Is it true that I can't install linux if I have W2k?
How can i do it?

Just a thought here. The partition was originally formatted as FAT32, right?

During the install, Disk Druid would have listed the partition, but in order to use that partition, you would actually have to delete that FAT32 partition and then add a new partition with the appropriate information (mount point, size, type, etc.).

Or did you just try to add a new partition? I find it hard to believe that Disk Druid (or fdisk for that matter) would allow you to do that unless you had plenty of space.

As far as 2K/NT, I haven't heard that. And trickykid says he's running it, so it's obviously possible.
