Redhat 9 'up2date' program always crashes!

hey all.
im on a fresh rh9 machine trying to run up2date. i have been to the website and downloaded the update, and has registersed with the RHN.
anyway, i stat the up2date app. The crash occus as it start to download the rpm (the menus before are fine)
yeah its making it pretty hard to update.. lol

any help would be great.

I am also using the RH9 shipped version of KDE.

There isa problem at some ssl components on fresh Redhat 9. you must download the ssl components of redhat from the redhat9 up2date web page. if you read the page carefully you will see the attention and the download link.

hrrm, i have done that. Thats not the real problem.... i can start it downloading the rpms to be updated (it starts with xfree86 i think.) but its freezes. my modem goes wild, then the program locks up itself and my system until i turn the modem off <i>physically</i>

I am also having this problem except it hangs up on downloading the headers. Just can't get past this. I've left the computer on for 24 hours and it says hung on downloading headers for XFree* files.

I've updated up2date to the latest version and this didn't fix anything.

I too am having problems with up2date on RH 9 and AS 2.1.

I get nothing back when I type in up2date. I have already got the new ssl certs.

Has the up2date server url changed?
