I have been looking for info too. It appears the files are outdated, but I have no clue where to find updated caches. If I find them, I'll post it!

I too was getting the:
Gnutella: gt_web_cache.c:809(gt_web_cache_update): Not updating webcaches: servent xxx days old error message.

I decided to edit the system date on my machine to make it think the "servant" was only 2 or 3 days old and it worked!

It seemed too easy I felt dumb for even trying it, but hey, whatever works, works.

how/why exactly did you change the date?
i'm having this same problem... anybody figure out where updated files are?

also, anybody know why apollon and gift haven't been worked on since 2005!? are these programs just dead/dying? they seem so great to me and gift is a great idea, but it's configuration is a pain and apollon has too many bugs... kinda frustrating to be so close to a great mainstream product for everyone, but not quite there.
