only giFT-Gnutella can't connect
Hi, Im using Debian and I've just installed giFT with OpenFT, FastTrack and Gnutella plugin.
the OpenFT, and FastTrack works fine and I can connect it using Apollon. but the Gnutella status is still connecting... this is the giftd.log: Quote:
Clientid , fwstatus, Gnutella.conf , Gnutella.conf.template, gwebcaches, hostiles.txt, nodes, recent_nodes, stable_nodes. the nodes, recent_nodes, stable_nodes are empty file. can someone help me? Thanks |
I have been looking for info too. It appears the files are outdated, but I have no clue where to find updated caches. If I find them, I'll post it!

Same problem for me.
Run last versions of giTF and Apollon, all other plugins work well. I run Suse Pro 9.1 Anyone got a solution or a clue? Googled it but not found any suggetions... Thks |
I too was getting the:
Gnutella: gt_web_cache.c:809(gt_web_cache_update): Not updating webcaches: servent xxx days old error message. I decided to edit the system date on my machine to make it think the "servant" was only 2 or 3 days old and it worked! It seemed too easy I felt dumb for even trying it, but hey, whatever works, works. |
how/why exactly did you change the date?
i'm having this same problem... anybody figure out where updated files are? also, anybody know why apollon and gift haven't been worked on since 2005!? are these programs just dead/dying? they seem so great to me and gift is a great idea, but it's configuration is a pain and apollon has too many bugs... kinda frustrating to be so close to a great mainstream product for everyone, but not quite there. |
i just changed the system date and launched apollon. i only tried it because i was getting the error that the nodes were all so old it didnt even try to connect or search for new ones.
