Hi!
Yesterday my 'Trashcan' suddenly vanished and I haven't been able to trace it since! Although I'm still able to right click and send things to the 'Trashcan' and I'm also able to go on to 'Konqueror's' main screen to delete stuff completely from there, the 'Trashcan's' presence is no longer on my desktop. I have tried to make a copy from 'Konqueror's' main screen, but there seems to be no way to do this.
A minor problem I know, but I would still be glad to have any ideas please.
I have been asked to alias "rm" such that content is sent to the trash can instead of being deleted outright.
So I need to know where trash is kept.
I thought it was simply ~/Desktop/trash, but this directory is empty, while the trashcan contains quite a lot of stuff. I.e. where is the stuff that is inside trash:/
Also, is there any facility to remove files from trash if they exceed a certain age? Alternatively, does anyone have a script I can tie to cron that can do the same?

Oh yes, installed OS is Suse 9.3 - 10.1
your trash should be located at: /home/username/.Trash
edit: oh crap, this is an oooold thread. Sorry, someone sent me a link pointing to this thread. Woops...sorry for digging up old stuff
