MPlayer can't play MIDIs

Hi y'all,

How do I get Mplayer to play MIDIs? Right now it can load the file without any errors (even when loaded from the terminal), but when I press Play, nothing happens. Also, the length of the song always reads 0:00:00.

Can you use some other program to play midi files? One that i know is playmidi.
