I can always find a way to install knoppix... but a different version. I remember that the way you install 3.4 and 3.6 are different so I'm not sure what command to use.

I remember that you have to use qtparted or something to make the partitions, then use the su command to make a root password, then type something in the konsole, then do ctrl+altf1(f2?) to get into superuser, type something, then you get into the installer.

I've never succsefully done this, so can sombody give me simple front to end instructions or show me a page that does for knoppix3.9?

I type knoppix-installer, and it doesn't do anything. I've done it root and konsole. It just makes a new linux and doesn't do any thing, and BUMP!

Sorry if I am being dense but I don't understand what you mean by that statement. Are there any error messages?

Oops I meant to say was that I type in knoppix-installer, then I press enter, then it makes a new line with nothing on it but the cursor. I waited for a while and it still didn't do anything.
