I saw a screenshot of someone using iBDE skin on Mandrake, I was looking all over google for the skin, but only thing I found were for winamp. Is iBDE skin exclusively only for winamp? If thats the case, I'm thinking that screenshot was winamp emulated with wine? If it's not emulated, then I'm thinkin its for XMMS or another media player for linux. Anyone have any ideas?
.wsz is the extension for winamp skins. It is simply a renamed .zip file. Why rename? Well because Winamp thought that there were so many .zip file extensions already that one might get confused and not know what file was their skin and what file had their massive collection of 17th Century composers mp3's zipped together. So they came up with the renaming idea. But yes, any current version of xmms support .wsz and therefore can support iBDE skins or any other.
Ahh, K, this may be the dumbest question I'm askin, where is XMMS located? I'm trying to figure out where to put these winamp skins so it shows in skin browser.
Found it, thats odd, I did a file search and it didn't find the executable. Master C, seems like you're my personal tech for the night, mind if I collaborate with you more often by means of IM in the near future? You can reach me @ blackdogg@burntware.com. Thanx a buncheroos!
Sure, you can "collaborate" with me as often as you like. Most of any linux questions you have though would probably be better asked/searched for on here though. I am barely a teenager when it comes to knowledge in Linux, but I do what I can. However if you have any drug (legal type) related questions, I would be more than happy to answer any qestions And I am glad I could help.
Oh and how did you do your file search? XMMS is lowercase, and if you do 'ls -l /usr/bin' you should be able to see it. I am pretty sure that is where it is located...
that sux a big nut, actually if you think about, newbs like me had this big surprise coming anyways. On the plus side, I believe this was deliberately done for security reasons am I correct?
