GL-117 game crashes-SuSE 9.3; ATi RADEON 9200

The GL-117 flight game crashes when I move the cursor at the main menu. I am using SuSE 9.3 and I have a Pentium III 500, 20gb HDD, ATi Radeon 9200 256mb Vid Card, with 3d Support >on<. Any reason why this happens? All the othe games workfine. Is there a way to fix it?

There are lots of Linux games that crash on ATI chipsets but run fine on Intel and Nvidia just fine. I can crash GL-117 on cue on ATI, but it runs fine (aside from low FPS) on the Intel Extreme chipset and Nvidia chipsets.

You'll have to reconfigure X but it's fairly easy to do. By the way, have you tried the latest Catalyst driver release from ATI? More people have had success with it, but YMMV, etc.

Where can I get the driver for SuSE? Does ATi have it right on their site?

ATI's web site will have the latest Catalyst package, accompanied by a HowTo.
