Disable screensaver for RealPlayer

Hi,

I'm watching a ton of lectures for my CompSci class but every 10 minutes my screensaver kicks in and I have to get up and move the mouse. I know I could turn off my screensaver altogether, but is there a way to just disable it for RealPlayer? It feels like there should be a way.....

xscreensaver or KDE etc

You could make up a bash script. This is similar to what I use for vlc:

xscreensaver-command -exit 2>/dev/null
xset -dpms
/path/to/realplayer
xset dpms 1800 2700 3600
xscreensaver 2>/dev/null &

I have no idea. The one under system>preferences>screensaver in gnome.

xscreensaver has a deactivate command

Code:

xscreensaver-command -deactivate

not sure what gnome uses, I can not see anything useful here http://live.gnome.org/GnomeScreensaver

That only works if a screensaver is active. My method turns it off and then restarts it after exiting realplayer.
