Linux has no antivirus software, it also has no viruses... cooincidence? maybe. (at least not any notable software. Some programs have protection built in. And there are viruses, but none of them are the kind that can spread themselves like MicroCrap software can.)
There are viruses which can attack Linux systems. Thankfully, they are few. The way *nix is set up is that unless you are root (and no one runs as root all the time, do they? ), you can do minimal damage to the system itself.
If your system is a file or mail server, you should run an a/v program (clamav and f-prot spring to mind) to stop yourself from passing the viruses on - esp. to Windows boxes.
there is a free anti virus scanner for linux called f-prot
there is also a security programme called bastille
i use them both on xandros/debian/gnu/linux
not because im worried about a virus but to ensure i donot by accident give it to the poor souls using windows
