vmware - switch to rh9 only - no dual boot - safe or not
I am thinking of switching completly to RH9 (from a dual-boot rh9/xp).
On RH9 I have VMware workstation 4.0 I am about to install windows xp in vmware. I would like to log into RH9 all the time, then use vmware (xp) for window based games and programs.
Is this a safe thing to do?(I'll tell you a lil about myself so you might ans better)
I ask because it's important for me to have access to the internet, and I am a newb to linux. I played around with rh9 now and then in the past, and i tried installing gentoo (for a long time) so I learned alot. I had netcat on rh9 awhile ago, and tried to install gcc from binary a long time ago (im just saying my experience with rh9, these aren't problems/conditions i have today)
I think that I am going to have Root, RegUserLogin, and VMwareUser. I'll always log into RH9 in as RegUserLogin, and if I mess anything up, I can always login as VMwareUser and access windows xp. Does anybody see any flaws in my doing this? Is it ok for me to do that? I don't want to try out wine because I really don't know RH9 yet (I'm on page 77 of the RH9 Bible)..
Thanks
