Question Internet config

I just got mandrake 9.0 installed, but I can't figure out how to get my internet connection working. It worked when I installed 8.0, but I can't remember what i did to get it working.

I'm using DSL from Verizon. I have to use their modem attached to my internet card. Mandrake saw my card, but I don't know about the extra modem. Does anyone feel like helping me out? I'm really new at all this, but was at least able to follow directions well enough to get a dual boot system up...

You should've set it up during install. After, you can still set it up but you have to log in as root and run Internet Config icon on the desktop, I think.

Basically, it's a wizard. Just say DSL and enter relevant numbers, username and password.

Thanks for replying!

I did set it up during install, but I must not have done it right. It asked for ip numbers, and because I use Verizon there are ni Linux, so I was on my own.

I went to another forum, I think it was Mandrakeusers. Someone there had asked a similar problem, and their solution was to type adsl-setup and follow the text. It worked! So I'm back in business.

I think I was getting confused between network and internet. All I want is to connect to the internet. I'm not on a Lan, which is what the Wizard kept insisting.
