internet config problem

i am using mandrake10.0.
my network connections o k .

there is no fixed IP address for inet6:

so every time i fix the /sbin/ifconfig eth0
there is no fixed IP address how to fix that address

help me..

To have a eth0 permanently set to use "mcc" GUI or edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
and make sure you have "BOOTPROTO=static" and "IPADDR="
