Question Lan Config file / internet config file


Helo, iīm using Mandrake linux 8.1, and y have a problem, i canīt configur my Lan card to access internet
when i try to do so using mandrake control center it send me and error that say modprobe: can't locate module eth0; with the darkenet it send me the next error : insmod'ing module 8139too failed at/usr/lib/lib DrakX/modules.pm line 510

can you tell me what is going on, is there any way that i can fix it or a file that i could edit to make my linux work...

You can try to configure it manually. It looks that you need module 8139too. Look if you can load it correctly using the following command:
modprobe 8139too
What to do now depends on your network configuration. Do you use DHCP or static IPs?
