what to use in place of net command


hi

there is a command in winnt "net" which perform many task. Also you can send message (using "net send" command) to other machine which is connected to LAN. but in linux is there utiliy in linux to perform this task

if you upgrad

samba to samba 3 you can use the net send command is add in this realese ( still alpha yet)
