Lightbulb LQ?!? Yes, The liveliest place on net!!

Just wanted to mention that I'm happy to be a member of LQ forum!
I signed up with many different forums on net, such as slackwarehelp.org and computerhope.com, but these places are sleeping cities. Just deaf. LQ is definitely the most visited and the liveliest forum on net today.

Well, it's nice to see someone with something positive to say

I'm getting awfully tired of the constant threads bashing Linux and/or the LQ mods lately

I was very thankful to have found this board tonight. I found it to be ranked #2 by linux keyword on Big Boards. About #390 overall I think?!?

Yeah me too.. damn those mods, such horrible human beings for having to put up with crap on a forum all day long.. and those members too for creating constant Linux bashing threads. And to all those who never search and only post questions that have answers to them.. blah blah blah blah... blah!

Why take a positive thread and make it all negative? If you don't like the Linux bashing threads or the "LQ mods" lately, why don't you create a thread to bitch about it or them, instead of posting in a thread that's trying to be positive?

I think he meant he's tired of:
1. Linux bashing threads.
2. Threads in which the mods get bashed.

I agree. The mods are absolutely wonderful and, erm, *cough*

I'm moving this to WS&F - I think this counts as website feedback.

Ahh, that might be true. Comes off as he's got a complaint about the mods though.. hmmm!

Depends on how your parse the sentence.
Looks like a double negative to me though.

Consider the following identity
AlexV.Tired_of(mod bashing) = AlexV.likes(mods)

I agree. I was amazed at the online community at LQ, and I was disapointed on signing up to other forums and finding that they were one person affairs and almost useless.

Actually when you read the context, if he was tired of the mod bashings people start, he should have used an "and/of the LQ mods" instead of "and/or the LQ mods".. I'l stand by my first response unless there's clarification, but oh well.

True. But my guess is that this wont happen to LQ, as the popularity of Linux seems to be constantly growing.
No wonder, if you look at the proprietary alternatives, i'd say!

kind regards Bjerrk

Cool

I believe that popularity of Linux has nothing to do with atmosphere in LQ. Many of my colleagues were disappointed in Linux and went to M$, but LQ is just robust and friendly place

I would agree - I've been here a month or so, and this place doesn't have the attitude of many forums - which is good

It still suffers from mods who post first and read questions second

by SlackerLX) and ever since not a soul has replied. Only two other poor members asked their questions on the same day. and that's IT??!!!
And our LQ? My mailbox is blowing up!
