what script to place this command?

i have this script that enables 2 buttons on my laptop to page through the virtual desktops (the 2 buttons by the arrow keys on an ibm laptop), what startup script should i put that in so that it runs automatically when i start x, and is there a place that gives a breakdown of what normally happens on each startup script?

If you run KDE, first make an icon on the desktop which will launch the script then test it.

Once it's working, copy the resulting "icon" into ~/.kde/Autostart

If you've done this properly, this will create a file called ~/.kde/Autostart/BLAH_BLAH.desktop that gets launched automatically when you log in.

You can do this for any application.

Note: the .desktop portion only appears in a text console... otherwise it will look like an icon under Konqueror.
