LAN worked in windows and not in Linux??


hi im new user
i have a LAN connection with enternet . in window xp it worked very fine but in Mandrake 10.0 the enternet is very slow.
my configuration is

post the contents of ur
/etc/resolv.conf
after u connected to the internet

if it is empty
then put

nameserver <ipaddress of ur DNS server>

how many DNS servers entry do u have in linux and how do u see that ur internet speed is slow in linux

i have 2 DNS
in windows the speed is 65 kbps
in mdk its only 1 kbps

hi there
what is ur gateway
it is running windows or linux???
if u r sharing this through a windows gateway then enable IP adress through DHCP in linux and try browsing.
