Internet Time Out Problem


Few days ago, i have installed the Mandriva Linux 200 on my computer. I can connect to internet but some of the outside my country will display a error message which is Time out problem. I think i have changed the time out to 2 sec. I have forgotten how to set it back. Please help.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Could you be more precise: from where did you define "Timeout" to 2 secs? From a browser? Maybe try some other browser? By editing files in /etc ?

I guess you have not modified TTL (maximum number of hops before IP packets are returned to the sender), because 2 hops would not take you _anywhere_.

I have not changed any TTL in computer. I encoutered this incident when i open any browser. How to edit the files in /etc. I have forgetten where i changed the time out. Therefore, i required you guys to help. I hope that i can sovled this problem as soon as possible.
