internet goes down after some time

Okay, I'm trying to setup a small webserver at my place. Apache 2.0... and sshd.
It works great and I can connect to the webserver and to my box through sshd from somewhere else in the world.

Then suddenly, my screen at the server goes black. Like after 10 minutes I think, but that's okay, that doesn't bother me... what bothers me is that all internet connection to the server goes out. Now no one can connect that IP, you can't even ping it. No connection at all after some time.

If I want the connection back, I have to go to the server, press the keyboard or use the mouse (to get the screen back) and then use the internet. Then the webserver and ssh works perfectly again!! Then you can ping the server and do whatever...

Does anyone know how to prevent that the server suddenly loses connection to the outside world? All the router setup is perfect. It must be somewhere in the server itself.

Oh, by the way I'm running vector linux 5.

Disable power save mode in the motherboard BIOS. Disable power management as root in linux.
