hi sir...
i just installed redhat fedora linux in my computer.and now i want to use interent facility on this installed linux.but i am not able ot configure proxy settings like internet connections in case of windows.
so could to please tell me how can i configure my network and can make it for use..
i am not getting any options in mozila or koquerour web brouswer..so plzz help me as soon as possible.

do it in the text mode. take a shell propmt and type 'vi /etc/squid/squid.conf', u will see a long file , add the following line,' acl lanname src network id/ netmask'.
here lanname must be your network name. u must get ur fqdn when u give the command ' hostname -f' and domain name when giving 'hostname -d'. now in the the same file add the line ' http_access lanname allow'.. save the file and execute the command ' service squid restart'. u must have correct entries for all of the hosts in your /etc/hosts file.....
