USB Wireless Phones

I'm looking at getting a Samsung N400 sprint PCS phone.. and one of the things I wanted to play with is wireless internet throught the phone. I can get a USB data cable, which I know will allow windows to dial it as a modem. I figure, for now I can dial an ISP on weekends, or at night, and (I hope) avoid any charges. Here is my question thought:

Has anyone ever gotten a phone, or maybe The Samsung working under linux? I mean, is it possible to use? I use Linux as my main OS on the laptop, althought I've thought about deleting windows, knowing if this would work, and how would help aid my decision to be M$ free, and to get the phone.

So, any thoughts?
