I installed Ubuntu Feisty Fawn on my Dell Inspiron 1200. It took less than three hours to get it installed, updated and the wireless card working. I have really enjoyed working with it but this afternoon I reinstalled the hard drive with XP on it and I have to admit that the screen resolution I have under Ubuntu is not a good as I have in XP. I know that means messing with Xorg and I am scared to death I am going to mess it up. No really I need to try to improve the screen resolution. As it is even in XP it isn't the greatest and in Ubuntu the colors are washed out . . . the color depth is not as good as it should be. Any ideas how to get better screen resolution?
