Network card

First will a wireless network card work with a linux distro this old?

Could someone please tell me how to configure either my wired on wireless network card.

I picked up a box set of linux with a bunch of apps for $10 dollars and would like to learn to use it.

Thanks,

Brannon

Hey, Welcome to Linux.

Your question is a little sketchy on the details of your setup. What distro are you using, what kind of network card do you have? What's the specs on the hardware you run (I'm assuming, since you posetd in this forum that it is a laptop of some kind)? If you are running on a laptop, head on over to http://www.linux-laptop.net/ That site has a ton of information on getting linux up and running on Laptops. likely, it will have some information on getting your network card running. As a heads up, Wi-Fi can be more tricky than your wired network.

Good luck to you.
