how to set up SMC EZ Card 10/100 ethernet PCI network card

ok, after USB ethernet adapter didn't work... I switched to SMC EZ Card 10/100 ethernet PCI network card...

could someone please direct or tell me how to set this thing up? I tried netconfig, DHCP - localhost.localdomain... umm... doesn't work..

oh, yeah, dynamic IP cable modem/connection...

Running VectorLinux 4.

PS: I just put the thing in the PCI slot.. didn't attach the little 3 pin cable (but plugged in cable wire - the light goes on, so I'm guessing it is functional)

I don't know vector linux.

If you get the link light it is good, but you must check other stuff:

-is the driver loaded?
=> look in /etc/modules.conf

Do you see something like alias eth0 ne2k?

Once this is setup, dhcp should work

thanks, although I have set up connection with usb adapter... now on Slackware 9.1
