I eneded up intalling CentOS on the Dell machine instead. It has turned out to be a perfect idea - CentOS seems to be so much more stable than FC5 as far as I can see.
Hehe, much like me ending up ditching FC entirely and going Kubuntu instead(with root enabled)

Used your solution and fedora works perfectly on my acer aspire 5102, ATI graphics and sounds n everythin work on it
