suse 9.1 on acer aspire pci problem


hello world
I have tried to install suse personal 9'1 in my Acer aspire 1355lc (amd mobile athlon
> xp 2600
My problem is that I had to restart the installation 3 or 4 times until it

but even now my laptop cant begin with Linux

If you have Plug 'n Pray enabled in the BIOS, try to remove it.

Thank for the help.

I had a look at the BIOS settings, plug and play was not mentioned. Is parallel port anything to do with plug and play?

Burn a cd with knoppix and see what it gives..

I see people using quite the same laptop on linux with no problem.
