where is SATA libata setting in xconfig?

I'm trying to build a kernel to support a SATA hard drive and make it /dev/sda
chipset ICH7
kernel version: 2.6.16.11

I've been reading a lot, and it looks like I need to use "libata ahci", but I can't find it anywhere in the xconfig menus. Am I missing something?

Any help really, really appreciated.

Actually, ICH7 is supported by ata_piix. Make sure that driver is enabled and you should be fine.

Hey thanks! That got it working. I just enabled it (and also ahci) in the scsi driver settings, and the drive is now ok. Thanks very very much.
