problem with network card

I recieve with lspci -v

0000:01:06.0 Network controller: 3Com Corporation: Unknown device ffff
Flags: bus master, user-definable features, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 5
I/O ports at d000 [size=64]
Expansion ROM at <unassigned> [disabled] [size=64K]

Is this a problem with my pci slot or the card itself?

It could even be an old pci.ids file.
