I am looking for a solution for shutting down my PC. I use suse 8.0. I can only reboot and then when the system starts booting cut the power off. It is annoying because I cannot shutdown the PC from distance. Does anybody have a solution?
Changing the runlevel to 0 does not work. The system hangs at the end and even I try to switch the power off only the screen goes black and the power supply is still working I am not sure but I think it relates to he fact that the machine is a dual processor. Any help is appreciated.
