Unhappy Problem with multiple OS...

Dear all!

I am having a problem loading Windows Os after installing Fedora Core 6. I have 3 partitions in my hard drive. C: contains Windows XP, D: contains Windows server 2003 and other partition has got Fedora. C: is Primary partition and D: and rest of is logical.
After installing Fedora and rebooting, I get a choice of choosing either Fedora or other OSs. And when I choose Server 2003, I got an error message saying ntoskrnl.exe is missing. And I reinstalled server 2003 and restarted, now I lost the boot menu from where I can choose fedora or other oss.
Can anyone please tell me, how do I overcome this problem and be able to boot all Oss of my choice?
And how many oss is the limit in a single hdd?
Is it necessary to have SWAP if my RAM is over 1GB?
Please guys, help me out.
The reason I have to have XP, server2003, and Linux in my hdd is; I am an uni student and I am talking classes of server and linux together.
Please..........Please..........

Thanking you.

Reboot the Fedora CD, and repair grub - search for "chroot" and "sysimage" should get you howto's.

From the grub menu, only boot Windoze via the primary (C: ) partition - that will load the boot.ini menu and allow you to choose between them. You'll need to do this as a "two level" boot due to the 2003 being in a logical.

That probably depends on the size of the disk. The guy in this article has over 100 operating systems on four disks. His name is saikee, I wonder if it is the same saikee as here on LQ?

Boot up with the Fedora cd/dvd, then

1) Type 'linux rescue'
2) chroot /mnt/sysimage
3) grub-install /dev/hda [/dev/sda if its a SATA disk]
4) reboot

Yep. I am here.

Is there any problem?

syg00 has given the solution to restore the boot loader using Fedora's installation CD in rescue mode.

For booting 2 Windows my preferred strategy is hide one when booting the other, unless you use NTLDR dual booting the two Windows together.

Here is a thread showing how to boot 2 Windows Vista with Grub. The code I used were
Code:
title 1st Vista in hda1
root (hd0,0)
makeactive
unhide (hd0,0)
chainloader +1

title 2st Vista in hda2
root (hd0,1)
makeactive
unhide (hd0,1)
hide (hd0,0)
chainloader +1
One of the links in my signature has a menu showing how to boot 3 Dos and 5 Windows in a PC.
