Question Looking for a list or chart of colors

I'm looking for a list or a chart of colors. I've used the helpful search features for this forum and others, but I didn't find exactly what I'm looking for.

I would like to see if there is a full chart listing the meaning of the color numbers I've seen (fi=32, di=34, etc) What do those numbers mean? How would I find the list or chart of what those numbers mean? What colors are mapped to what numbers?

I've looked on tldp.org and couldn't find it either, and a search on Google lead me to several places, but nothing quite like what I'm looking for.

If I want to set or change the colors in a terminal, how would I know what colors I would end up with if I don't know what those numbers will render?

I hope my question makes sense.

Thank you,
Woody

Hi,

This is not an official list, but as far as I know it's accurate:

Attribute codes
00=none
01=bold
04=underscore
05=blink
07=reverse
08=concealed

Text color codes
30=black
31=red
32=green
33=yellow
34=blue
35=magenta
36=cyan
37=white

Background color codes
40=black
41=red
42=green
43=yellow
44=blue
45=magenta
46=cyan
47=white

Hope this helps.
