KDE 3.3 window list colors

Hello!

I got tired of the default KDE looks and installed a new one. The problem can be perhaps best illustrated by the following image:

I just can't get the desktop list or the window list to be a different color than this stupid grey.

I tried everything in "colors" in the control center, after each change I've hidden and unhidden the taskbar to make sure it updates, but no luck.

On the other hand, KDE doesn't react to me changing the menu transparency until I restart it, so maybe the problem is that it doesn't update when I change the colors...

Any ideas where else I could change those colors (like which are the correct config files for this), or how to force KDE to update everything once I change a color?

These colors are controlled by the "Window Background" color.

For the pager you can set it to use a transparent background, right click on it Then Show->transparent.

You might also want to launch KSysGuard and kill the kicker, then use alt-f2 and enter kicker to restart it, if something is not taking effect.

Thanks a lot!

It turned out to be the button colors, but the tip with killing and restarting kicker, and the transparent thing for the pager were exactly what I needed! Thanks a lot once more!
