JDK error message when installing on RH 7.2
Does anyone know why I am getting a error when I am trying to unzip the jdk118_v3-glibc2.1.3.tar.bz2 file to install on my Linux 7.2 machine. Here is the command that I am running
tar Ixvf jdk118_v3-glibc-2.1.3.tar.bz2
I have also tried
bzip2 -dc jdk118_v3-glibc-2.1.3.tar.bz2 | tar xf - -C /usr/local
and both return errors. The first returns Data Integrity error when decompressing
Input file = (stdin) Output file = (stdout)
.
.
.
and the second returns
Data Integrity error while decompressing
Input File = jdk118... Output file = stdout
Then if I run a bzip2recover jdk118_v3...
it checks the file and then extracts all these rec0001jdk118... rec0002jdk118... files that go on for about 45 volumes. Does anyoen have any idea how to get past this problem? I am trying to install Oracle on a Linux 7.2 box and I am not having very good success right now. THanlks
