Getting error message after installing AIM, please please help.
Sorry for posting this tread, i am a Linux newbie just trying to get a feel of how linux is, and so far it is great, however I am running into a little problem after installing AIM.
Currently I am using Red Hat Fedora core 2, I downloaded aim-1.5.234-1.i386.rpm from aim website. I ran rpm -i aim-1.5.234-1.i386.rpm and installation went smooth and just fine, but however when i run /usr/local/bin/aim (followed instruction on aim website) I get the following error message.
/usr/local/bin/aim: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libgdk-1.2.so.0: undefined symbol: XListInputDevices
Can some linux expert advice me on what to do and what is going on? I am trying to learn Linux, step by step starting with basic software installation and processing. Please help me. Thanks in advance.
